In the early history of aviation, flying vertically classified ideals most seductive and become an obsession. A group of people imagine, if the vertical flight will only be done with a balloon or it could be any other way. Dr. Heinrich Foche and Igor Sikorsky helicopter answer, 34 years after The Flyer flew on 17 December 1903.
The helicopter was lost faster than fixed-wing aircraft. However, the ability to fly low and landed in a variety of difficult terrain, gave a special intensity. In addition to respite for medical evacuation, the helicopter can also be very destructive on the battlefield. In the Iran-Iraq War (1987), a Mil Mi-24 Hind could even drop the fighter jets F-4 Phantom.
